Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)
Cruise control has been around for a long time but has always been tricky to manage in traffic that encounters varying speeds. Technology such as Mazda Radar Cruise Control counters that issue but using a milliwave radar to detect the vehicle in front. It then varies the speed of your own vehicle to match the traffic ahead so you’re always a safe distance away. Radar Cruise Control works all the way down to when the vehicle ahead of you comes to a stop.
Adaptive LED Headlamps (ALH)
ALH individually controls a number of LEDs to broaden visibility at low speeds, avoid dazzling others on high beam, and extend vision at highway speeds.

Standard on G25 Astina, and an option on other grades as part of Vision Technology.
This newly developed technology uses a camera to observe the driver’s condition while driving. It detects sleepiness or inattention by monitoring changes in expression or movement of the driver’s line of sight. When the system determines danger, it sounds an alert while also hastening the warning timing for automatic braking to help prepare for a potential incident.

The revolutionary engineering platform behind Mazda SUVs and passenger cars that offers greater performance while using less fuel.
SKYACTIV-X M Hybrid Engine
The revolutionary SKYACTIV-X engine, available in Mazda3 and CX-30, is the world’s first commercial gasoline engine to run on compression ignition. Using innovative technology, Mazda has combined the power of a high-revving gasoline engine and the fuel efficiency of a diesel. Skyactiv-X burns petrol more efficiently thanks to our Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI). It makes more power but produces fewer emissions and uses less fuel than a regular petrol engine for an even better drive without compromise. When you decelerate, the integrated starter motor generator produces electricity which is stored in a 24-volt battery and deployed as needed. The M Hybrid component is our innovative evolution of hybrid car technology, capturing and storing energy in a lithium ion battery. This is then used to power electrical systems and provide additional torque. Unlike a plug-in hybrid, or a conventional hybrid, no plug or charging is required.
SKYACTIV-G Petrol Engine
Mazda's highly-efficient direct-injection gasoline engine that achieves the world's highest gasoline engine compression ratio of 14.0:1.
SKYACTIV-D Diesel Engine
With the world’s lowest diesel-engine compression ratio, this clean, highly-efficient diesel engine will comply with strict exhaust gas regulations globally without the aid of expensive NOx (nitrogen oxides) aftertreatment systems. It offers up to 20% more efficiency than previous diesel engines.
Smart Brake Support (Rear Crossing) (SBS-RC)
Standard on G25 Astina, and an option on other grades as part of Vision Technology.
SBS aims to help the driver avoid or reduce the severity of collisions, particularly when driving at mid- to high speeds (between 15 km/h and 145 km/h), by automatically applying the brake if there is a danger of collision. The addition of the Rear Crossing function means the system also works when in reverse, alerting you of traffic approaching from either side.
Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) / AEB
Also known as: Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) SCBS monitors the vehicle in front or behind to assess the likelihood of a collision. If there is a high risk, the system will warn you and brake automatically if needed.
T
TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System)
Monitors tyre pressure and alerts when levels are low.
Traction Control System (TCS)
Prevents wheel spin during acceleration by reducing engine power and/or applying braking to individual wheels, helping maintain grip on slippery surfaces.
Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR)
TSR uses a forward sensing camera to detect Stop, speed limit, and No Entry signs. The system projects the sign onto your Active Driving Display, to help ensure you don’t miss a thing.
Transmission
The transmission is the system in a vehicle that transfers power from the engine to the wheels, allowing the vehicle to move at different speeds efficiently.
It controls how engine power is delivered through different gear ratios, helping balance performance, fuel efficiency and driving comfort.
Mazda vehicles are available with automatic or manual transmissions depending on model and specification, with automatic systems designed to deliver smooth gear changes and responsive driving.
V
